Cielo Vertical Arts
Cielo creates collaboration on all fronts—with other artists, with gravity, with perception, with nature, with presenters and event producers. Creating site specific work as well as pulling from existing repertoire on the ground and in the air, Cielo animates the spaces of black box theaters, industrial buildings, ancient oak trees, mountainscapes and more. Cielo also believes in sharing vertical art making through a wide variety of workshops for artists of all ages and experience levels.
Performance Company
With many touring options, from solo presentations to performances brimming with a full cast, Cielo Vertical Arts stretches the boundries of performance into evocative new territory. Artistic Director Heather Baer creates multifaceted performances, enabling interactions between the human body, architecture, kinetic sculpture, vertical media, music and more. All the while honoring the environment in which these moments arise.
Teaching Offerings Workshops and Residencies can be tailored to the needs of any student base. With decades of teaching experience, we train dancers and non dancers of all ages and abilities.
